Lassitude

Rain subdues.  The early morning plans wash down the creek in the lovely wet drone through the open window.  The cat settles on my chest rather than hunting, and we listen to the leafy patter and doze . . . stretch and doze.  Small ambition to start . . . cat resettles . . . creek trickles . . . ambition subdued.  Small notion to write a dream . . . leaf patters . . . shoulder needs to be covered . . . stretch covers . . . notion subdued.  Small inclination to look up esperanza on the internet . . . cat gazes sternly . . . smile and close eyes . . . inclination subdued.  Turn neck to left . . . turn neck to right.  Listen to creek.  Sleep another hour.
